Thinking about trying a cycle class for the first time? Whether you’re searching for cycle classes near you or exploring new fitness options in McMurray, Canonsburg, Peters Township, or Upper St. Clair, JackHammer Fit is here to welcome you with open arms and high energy.
Our indoor cycling classes are more than just a workout—they’re a fun, community-driven experience designed to make you feel empowered, supported, and strong.
Here’s everything you need to know before hopping on the bike for the first time.

Walk In & Get the Full Experience
When you arrive at our studio, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team and given a quick tour so you can feel right at home. We’ll show you:
The Water Station – Stay hydrated with fresh water. Bring your own bottle or use ours!
Restrooms & Essentials – Hair ties, deodorant, body spray, and other toiletries are available if you need them.
Goodie Basket – Help yourself to free samples, snacks, and wellness treats—just a little something extra for you.
Don’t Own Cycling Shoes? No Worries
If you’re new to indoor cycling and don’t have your own shoes yet, we’ve got you covered. We provide clean, comfortable cycling shoes you can borrow during class.
We’ll Get You Set Up Like a Pro
Before class starts, one of our instructors will personally help you get set up on your bike. We’ll make sure your seat height, handlebars, and pedal straps are just right. You’ll also get a quick intro to bike positions and how to ride with proper form.
Our goal is to make sure you feel confident and ready. No pressure, just progress.
Tips for First-Time Riders

If you’re joining one of our cycle classes in McMurray, or traveling from Canonsburg, Peters Township, or Upper St. Clair, these tips will help you get the most out of your ride:
Engage your core and drive with your legs – Focus on your quads, not your arms.
Handlebars should be slightly higher than your seat for comfort and alignment.
Save your setup – Snap a photo of your bike settings for next time.
Ask questions – We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Enjoy the ride – Each class has its own vibe, and every instructor brings something special.
What to Eat Before Class
Eat something light and energizing about 30–60 minutes before class. A banana, small protein bar, or smoothie can give you the boost you need to power through.
Arrive a Little Early
If it’s your first class, try to arrive 10–15 minutes ahead of time. This gives us time to get you set up, go over any questions, and make sure you feel totally comfortable before we start.
